I'm preparing to become a Small Business Owner and I couldn't be more excited. I'm just in the process of getting all of the paperwork started. I can't reveal too many details just yet but as soon as everything is finalized, I'm sure I'll be rushing to the board. It's not something that I expect to be able to do full time at first but I'm hoping that if I can get a decent amount of work fairly quickly, it could become a full-time thing.

I've been doing this for about 15 yrs now and love it. I have worked hurricanes in Florida, Texas, Jersey, Virginia, Carolinas, and yes....Katrina.

The effects of Katrina were felt as far as DFW. Shortly after that storm hit and recovery began, there was absolutely no fungicide available at all - chemical or organic - in the DFW area for the entire fall season. All our vendors were ordered to ship all their fungicide to the New Orleans area for 4-5 months.

Senior Software Engineer for Cinemark Theaters. We are a small Microsoft shop but do a lot of pretty cool/diverse work. Great team, we are all friends and I like it. Left for five years to go to Arizona to work for Raytheon in the defense sector but wanted to get back to a small shop and they had an opening at the exact time we started looking.

Currently working on the mobile apps using Xamarin. New iOS, Android, and Windows Phone Cinemark app incoming... complete rewrite. Also responsible for CineMode (server side not the client side stuff). Free crap for turning off your phone in a movie. Here's a hint... you can just set your phone to cinemode at night and get free rewards from it too. We haven't made it location-aware yet. Yet.
