Herman's staff?

wouldn't that just be a lateral move....
He apparently is interviewing with Ole Miss for their OC opening. I'm sure he would entertain an interview with a new staff and more certainty.

Interestingly enough, Ole Miss is also interviewing Sterlin Gilbert.

Does anyone think Cumbie could be lured away from the Frogs this year after passing last year?
Does he have any ties to Herman? Seems like Herman is looking for people he knows and trusts that can fall in line with his plan. Not sure if Cumbie fits that bill or is a Herman guy.

Well, Rambo was a target of ours. Sounds like he's out of our reach.

From another site:

- We still think Tim Beck is most likely as the OC. His reputation as a recruiter is fine but fans put way too much stock in assistant/coordinator recruiting of guys who are working for recruiting cyborgs like Meyer and Saban. He knows Texas, yes, good, but offensive install being on the same page is the biggest benefit.

- We still feel Bears RB coach Stan Drayton is most likely for RB coach. We've also heard Iowa State RB coach Lou Ayeni (which would be a fine hire) but logically speaking Herman would have hired him by now.

- Todd Orlando is the DC. We've stated that forever. Watch their bowl game this weekend to get an idea of usage. I promise you Texas players will be tuning in.

Im hearing Beck probably isnt leaving Ohio. He is an Ohio guy and probably not in a hurry to leave home.

His name has been mentioned frequently for filling one of the final staff spots. He did have a coaching stop in a Texas in the high school ranks at Mansfield so it isn't too far of a stretch. Have to see how the next few weeks play out.
