Herman's staff?

I'm thinking Drayton is the guy. Thats why we're waiting. And I think he'll be calling plays. Although Herman will set the offense, Drayton will drive the bus with input from the other co-oc.

So I don't think Beck is coming.

Still got two spots to fill. Whoever they are waiting on is clearly still in season either via bowl game or NFL regular season, which is why I think both are still in play. Slap a Co-OC title on both of them and complete the staff.

I got to ask this stupid question. Why Drayton ? And why is he the important part of this puzzle for the Texas staff??? I must have been asleep during the Drayton discussion

He and Herman coached together at Ohio State and he is known as a plus recruiter from his time there and Florida with Urban Meyer. Listed as the primary recruiter for Cam Newton at UF and was one of Zeke Elliott's lead recruiters.

I heard on OrangeBloods that Herman has been telling offensive recruits that the new OC won't be official for another two to three weeks.

It maybe Tim Beck of Ohio State as he remains the popular name and a source from that side of things believes Meyer is preparing for Beck to leave as he interviewed recently fired Indiana coach, Kevin Wilson, earlier this week. Interesting

Am i the only one thinking it is going to be Beck at OC?

We are hearing so little it makes me think an agreement is in place somewhere with a guy still coaching in a bowl/playoffs

He's been the most consistent name mentioned. If it isn't him then I'm not sure who the other candidates are.
