So now that it looks like Texas will get Herman, what current recruits does Herman have ties with? Do the bluechip guys sign with Texas with Herman there? I'm primarily referencing Browning, Hines, Wilson and Little.

Herman has recruited well at UH.

I ain't worried about that because he's probably done a better job than Strong cultivating Greater Houston & Golden Triangle.

Who ever the New Coach is and I do think it is Herman , they will have to hit the ground running and I am sure he will be meeting with Coach Traylor for a break down of the current recruits being pursued.

One kid I know they'll look at is QB/ATH Bryson Smith from John Tyler. He is close friends with Damion Miller.

If he can somehow get Tim Brewster to come back that would be awesome haha.

heh

Brewster was on staff when Herman was a GA. Strong did not use any official visits that `I`m aware of so unlike when he took over Herman can get all of the big names on campus for face to face meetings. Like when Mack started at Texas Herman`s first recruiting will start with a RB already on the team

The Brewster stuff is out there, but I am trying to get confirmation from someone with ties to FSU before we take off with it.

I'm excited about what this class could potentially look like. All these Rivalry games are on and all the college football world is talking about is Herman to Texas! Kids love Buzz and we got that on ours side!

how does this affect wilson and little, both from the houston area...

Foreman is going g pro... Warren/Porter are pure potential.

i wouldn't etch that in stone yet.  there are a number of factors to consider.

1. what's his draft projection

2. what are his goals?  i.e. heisman, winning big12, winning bowl

3. playing another year with his brother

4. how high of a priority is money

5. what playmakers are going to challenge him for the heisman next year

these come to mind...

And having former Heisman winner and Longhorn Legend Ricky Williams as his mentor, who faced the exact situation, will factor heavily into his decision as well...
