Supposedly, Kirk Herbstreit made this comment a few minutes ago on ESPN. Anyone hear it?

"Tweet it out text it, scream it - Nick Saban is not going to Texas. No shot. No chance. It isn't going to happen."

I'm not suggesting he knows anything, Lobo. I was just wondering if anyone else heard it. Man, there are a lot of moving parts to this story, that's for sure.

I can tell you that Herbie has great tOSU sources (obviously) but has no sources elsewhere. He later said that it "just doesn't make any sense" which means he doesn't have any sources on this matter.

Herbie is an analyst, not an investigative reporter

Saban is never a done deal until he gets on a final destination jet to Texas. I've witnessed too many of these deals fall through.

But to say Saban is never happening ... there is waaay too much smoke ... reliable sources, including some of McPhaul's best, reporting mutual interest.

McPhaul is on record as saying it is on Saban at this point.
