Heard will be the best option on campus IMO, but who knows what happens at this point. It's not good that he misses Spring, I'm sure of that. Ash and Swoopes and maybe a Juco or transfer.

Sorry buddy, but I don't think anybody is suggesting he starts next year. I'm just excited about future prospects with this kid. But yes, he's still got a lot of work ahead of him.

How would we know what Swoopes can or cannot do? He's been given zero real chance to do anything.

I talked to a Guyer football family member a few weeks ago and he said that Heard is graduating High School this month so he can enroll at UT in the Spring. Being there for Spring Drills will be a nice building block for him. I saw him play this year in person and txscallywag is right. He is cool under pressure but I also think he needs to redshirt. If Ash is a no-go, then I can see him competing for a starting spot with Swoopes.
