Yep, my bad. 3 vs LALA and 3 vs Arky. Those sacks make the running stats wonky, and don't count pressures.6 sacks? Not according to the stats.

The whole team laid an egg against Arky, it is unrealistic to heap the blame on the starting QB.And only 7 points.
Not sure I know more than 1 person who would call that adequate ?
You are a total sham. Are you Card's dad or something?Collateral damage from poor play calling. By that standard Casey should be yanked for sure.
You base your entire evaluation on 3/4 of a game when the whole team was spanked. He deserves another fair shot after earning the job in pre season. Casey IS injured. It's madness. You are a total sham. Are you Card's dad or something?
We all saw the same thing. You've chosen to live in an alternative reality, however.
Card couldn't do anything in the time he had against Arkansas, which was more time than Thompson had. Facing the same team with the same players, Thompson led the offense to scores.
It could not have been more black and white.
Its that simple. He wasn't injured. He wasn't sick. He didn't break up with his girlfriend the night before. He just didn't play up to the same standard as Thompson did when given the starting job. So he lost his job.
But yeah, I'd really like to know the back-story about why you're so defensive, protective, and promoting of Card. Why are you not the same way for K-Rob? or someone else? Again, are you in some way related to Card?
The point is, the team played very well with Thompson in there. No amount of paragraphs will change that. You base your entire evaluation on 3/4 of a game when the whole team was spanked. He deserves another fair shot after earning the job in pre season. Casey IS injured. It's madness.
No not related, but yes 3rd party connections. I can assure you we have never met and he has no idea who I am. What I am is a fan that knows in my heart that we have talent, not just in the QB dept. being wasted on the bench. The last 2 games were winnable. We could be in OK's seat right now. I'm sick of losing and have no problem speaking up about it. The native's are restless, not just me. Read the press, the coach is already under fire.
This thread is questioning Casey's position. As you well know, I have served up plenty of crap on the coaches and Bijan too. The QB is always the 1st discussion on forums.
Everyone is already laughing at us. No one is laughing at LSU firing a coach 2 years from a National Championship. The point is, the team played very well with Thompson in there. No amount of paragraphs will change that.
Remember when it was something like 18 out of 19 possessions ended up in scores under Thompson? I mean, no amount of anger you have can stop you from seeing that.
The coach is under fire from people who have little understanding of how the college game works. We were criticized for firing TH too early. But you're suggesting a few weeks, which only means we have people talking who really shouldn't be. Its so asinine, its not possible for discussion.
WHO is laughing at us ? and comparing that to LSU , Coach O is getting fired for his off the field antics as well as what he has put on the field post Joe B era....Everyone is already laughing at us. No one is laughing at LSU firing a coach 2 years from a National Championship.
You can't base all your decisions for the whole season based on 1 quarter of football in scrub time. They were 30 something points ahead at that point. You can't base it on 1 scrimmage either. We need to see a body of work, which we are now seeing on Casey.
It might be outside the box to change coaching seats so early. Never say never. I'd love to see Sark fix some problems, and soon. Apparently we only suck by a little.
That is a weak excuse for losing. We could have won both games easily, just a play or 2 either way changes everything.WHO is laughing at us ? and comparing that to LSU , Coach O is getting fired for his off the field antics as well as what he has put on the field post Joe B era....
why are you so imIpatient with Sark, maybe he wasn't your first choice but six games into his tenure or six games into the CT QB era is not enough info to make an objective decision...
Sark has been to the big time game more times in the last 5 years than Texas has been in the last 15 years. He know what it takes to prepare a team but you cant make chicken salad out of chickens**t...and right now he doesnt have the ingredients to make a good salad
Casey Thompson has the highest QB rating in the Big 12. And despite playing two fewer games than other Big 12 QBs, he has more TD passes than any other QB in the conference.Everyone is already laughing at us. No one is laughing at LSU firing a coach 2 years from a National Championship.
Don't try and tell me Texas had the best QB or running back the last 2 weeks. QB rating against pansies nor scoring streaks means nothing.Casey Thompson has the highest QB rating in the Big 12. So yeah big boy, bench that man. smh
The operative word in your sentence above is "years." Not weeks, years.
If a guy who can't speak legible English can get years, then last year's creator of the record-setting national championship offense should get more than a few weeks.
I am literally embarrassed to be talking about this. It's commode-hugging stupid.

Good take. The problem with posting stuff like this, whether it be original or a link, is that a lot of the fan base can not handle critical assessments and just resort to insults.Real journalism, not homer excuse making.
https://longhornswire.usatoday.com/2021/10/18/texas-longhorns-football-steve-sarkisian-oklahoma-state-big-12-second-half-collapse-lose/
"It seemed that after he threw his first interception, which was returned for a touchdown, his confidence plummeted and any sign of the good quarterback we had once seen vanished. Thompson injured his thumb against Oklahoma, and started the Oklahoma State game with it wrapped, but later took the tape off. Not sure if it was his thumb that was the cause of his performance, but Thompson dropped multiple snaps, his throws lacked more zip than normal, and he was horrendously inaccurate completing just 55% of his passes.
Thompson has not completed more than 60% of his passes nor has he put up a QBR over 65 since the Texas Tech game.
Starting on offense like I already mentioned, Sarkisian insisted on passing when Thompson was in the midst of his worst career game rather than just handing the ball off in a multitude of ways to Robinson. Sarkisian also got Keilan Robinson involved for just one play on a jet sweep that went for 25 yards, and never game him another touch. When your quarterback can’t throw, and your offensive line couldn’t block long enough for him to throw even if he could make a good pass, you would think the coach would get creative in terms of moving the ball. In the second half of the last two games, it seems as if there is a lot more brakes than gas on offense.
The third and final factor was that Casey Thompson was clearly hurting or off his game, and the staff did not do a good enough job putting him position to succeed since they decided to keep him in. Thompson looked scared in the pocket, which is understandable, but why would Sarkisian not have him use his legs? I also question if he should have even been playing in the first place, as his throws were just missing the mark all game outside of a few. I don’t know if this means they should go back to Hudson Card, but maybe consider adjusting the play call to allow for Thompson to not have to believe in his offensive line made of paper."
Meanwhile, Sark doubles down on stupid and say's he's going with Casey..
I think it's BS. If it's "good journalism" as our panic queen claims, then why was the journalist seemingly afraid to state the entire list of facts?Good take. Not trying to start something but did you just do the same thing? Stats need context unless someone is trying to make a one-sided point. CT's QB rating is trending down. PFF doesnt even have him in the top 50 (57th I believe). They have Caleb Williams (0U), Max Duggan (TCU), Spencer Rattler (0U), & Tyler Shough (TTU) all in the top 50 with CW at #2 & MD at #4 (IIRC). I take PFF stats like I take all stats: with a large grain of saltI think it's BS. It's hard to make someone look bad when they lead the conference in QB rating.
Presenting one side of the story is the chronic problem with today's media. When the story well is dry, this is what the unethical writer does. And there is, unfortunately, an audience out there who just eat it up because it serves their agenda.
No, I didn't. I threw out one fact when I could've lined up dozens. The point was, I only needed to say that one fact to make you wonder why the writer never even mentioned it.Not trying to start something but did you just do the same thing? I think I can read & decide for myself if something is unnecessarily critical or one-sided.
