Guys, take a breath and stop worrying

And now EM... :D

I agee with Lobo. I am hearing Monday will be the day an official word comes out. Patterson is actually handling this very well everything considered. We're in good shape fellas.

I'm personally thinking everything is on low down till after the Heisman selection in NYC. It would be very awkward for Saban to see AJ win the Heisman as Texas' HC.

I was told JS posted that it will happen Saturday
i'm not going to knock JS. I like him. But I was told there's no way Texas announces this on Saturday. And if you think about it, Saturday would be the worst day to do something like that if you respect the players at all.

Word was that this was happening last Tuesday (at the latest). Then Thursday (at the latest), then Friday, then Saturday, now next Tuesday. After 4 years of ineptitude and disappointment, we get ineptitude and disappointment and increasing signs of possibly another year of ineptitude and disappointment because our new AD has begun to show he he capable of little else other than ineptitude and disappointment.

This isn't about what's best for the athletes, the program or the university. This is all about what's best for one individual -William Mack Brown. And none of the million dollar players seem to want to be the responsible individual that begins to put the players, the program or the university as the highest priority. Its beginning to verge on shameful.

The new era of Steve Patterson could be one of impressive leadership, but, sadly, its not. So far, its just more of the rot we have seen over the past few years. Cronisism. Personal agendas. A kleptocracy of overpaid public employees enjoying bloated salaries and in return offering little in return.

Steve Patterson could easily let media contact know what is happening and tamp down the frustration, but he won't. Instead he offers ineptitude and disappointment. I guess we should prepare ourselves for what the Patterson regieme intends to deliver. I don't see much that exemplifies excellence in the entire handling of the coaching decisions. In fact I don't see any at all. And I'm beginning to think I won't see any for a long time. A long, long time. We have become the Clampetts.

Bravo man! Couldn't agree more!

"Do you want answers?"

"I want the truth!"

I love that movie

But I do want to know what the heck is going on....

Mack is doing what's best for Mack. It's about him.
Saturday sounds plausible because it will take the thunder from the Heisman and put it on him.
The meeting is definitely in for today. The announcement day and time is still nebulous. Remember that the role of the announcement is to shower Mack with praise and let him have his "time in the sun". Do not lose site of this. For this reason, although I am still hearing Saturday as the day, it could easily be postponed to Monday. Remember that the Heisman ceremony is Saturday evening, and the only other game of any relevance is the Army/Navy game. This will limit the "impact" of the announcement as Mack will not upstage the Heisman ceremony and few people will likely be watching television on Saturday afternoon. At this point, the deal is done and there is no more leverage, so it is "all about Mack", and he is going to try and maximize the message. Bottom line, do not fret if the announcement is delayed until Monday (although I ,like you, really want this done with a Saturday announcement).

We are now into Thursday since it was announced that Mack was going to step down and the ensuing media firestorm. We still have not heard anything from Saban or Alabama regarding being close to an extension. Their AD has had a couple of chances to talk about it and still nothing.
Trust in the guys we have here. McPhaul, shaunsters, Baghorn, Skolodn, Sirhornsalot and RoyalCrown are not leading us astray. These guys were right about Dodds and they were right about Mack. We just have to be patient and let things play out. There's no reason in getting worked up right now.

#Saban2014 fellas.
I am willing to let this play out on whatever the timeline eventually becomes. I am still confident it will have the desired ending. In the meantime, Ill keep myself entertained by those, with all due respect, that are impatient. Hang in there, everyone!
