Mens, and Womens if you feel like it.

Men - 20 loss season IMO, Barnes fired at the end of the year.

Women - Believe they win 20 games total this year, and head into 2014-15 as a Top 10 squad.

I don't pay enough attention to women's, but I have a hard time believing we'll be anywhere near .500.

Barnes is gone at the end of the year.

Looking at their schedule I'm having a hard time finding more than 8 games where they will be favored. So figuring they find a way to win 2 other games, I figure they are a 10 win team.

My prediction is if I watch any Texas basketball I will probably get alcohol poisoning.

OK Johnny, I solemnly predict that the "ERWIN CENTER" shall end up just like "MINUTE MAID PARK" in Houston.... EMPTY!

I'm hoping they decide to keep the Center Court Room cash bar open until the end of the game rather than closing it right before end of half time.

I've had season tickets since 1990 and I really considered not renewing.

However, I thought about the future and requested a seat upgrade (for grins, had been requesting for years)

I ended up with seats at center court about 20 rows behind Craig Way (stoked about future season and these seats).

I'll go to games and cheer for the players and The University.

I predict it is going to be a long season for UT bball fans....

Predictions:

Texas MBB- PAIN

Texas WBB- Gettin better slowly, hopefully.

When it comes to mens basketball I'm glad I don't have the LHN. It's going to be B-A-D. Even with Papapetrou we were going to struggle to score and I just do not know where the points will come from this year on a consistent basis. Barnes has never had teams who can consistently pass the ball into the low post so even if Ridley turns into the 5-star player he was coming out of high school I do not believe that Barnes can find ways to get him the ball. But even expecting that kind of improvement from Ridley is probably asking too much.

When I look at the roster I almost feel bad for the team. There's just nobody that sticks out on paper as being anything resembling a difference maker. There's not even a volume scorer like AJ Abrams around to get hot and carry the team. Pretty much the only way that I can see this team succeeding is by reverting back to some of Barnes' early teams and winning with a junkyard dog mentality. They are going to have to play defense in a manner that is disgustingly good and hope that they can win games with scores in the low 50s.

Winning 15 games is not going to allow Barnes to keep his job, but to be honest if he can find that many wins with this team it could be as good of a coaching job as he's done since arriving in my opinion.

Men's basketball I believe will have the worst season in texas basketball history!
unless barnes recruits a cheerleader to fill out the roster, i think kaiser bob's 82-83 squad is safe. 6-22 overall and 1-15 in conference.

as a former HBU basketballer, i am looking forward to the november showdown... yep, that is where the program is.

Barnes has overstayed his welcome as well...shame we aren't in the nba, cause we would get a high pick
