Some of my takes for the game.
Rasheem Biles is as advertised.
I can't be too hard on the defense. Texas St. runs an aggressive offense. They will give other teams fits.
The turnovers were really nice. Had they not occurred we might all be pissed right about now.
It was nice to not see a targeting call on Kobe Black. He merely stood his ground and didn't launch.
The OL worries me. Ohio St. will have better athletes on their DL.

I don’t think the Oline looked great especially in the run. It’s the hardest thing to get going. Everyone else is nasty. Wingo and Coleman are unfair

They opened some small holes that the backs squeezed through at times, but I didn't see real push.

I know this is crazy to say because we only gave up 7 points, but I didn't think the D looked so good. Texas State missed 20 yd FG and also had a bunch of drives and wide open players. I hope we were keeping it vanilla so OSU didn't get any tape;

I knew the Texas St offense was good, but didn't realize they were ranked 5th last year. The defense held them to 117 yards in the 1st qtr., 108 in the 2nd qtr. and 124 in the 2nd half.
