*****GAME THREAD - TCU @ #9 Texas*****

Exactly. The huge pass to Ingram earlier was negated by not having your team will positioned and coached. The big pass to Woodard was negated for again having an ineligible man down field. How as a coach do you not tell your team at half to make the sure are playing disciplined after all the flags in the first half. Herman is in over his head. He’s a good coach when he has a month to game plan and prepare. That’s great but this a week to week game and he’s terrible at attacking teams weakness week to week. And he’s even worse adjusting in game. He has to go.
Hey we agree :)

I'm thinking this team got arrogant after their victory last week. Somehow they believed they were bullet proof.

People that want Herman fired, I don’t think it is going to happen. I don’t know if he should be or not. They pay CDC a lot of money to figure it out. I don’t think they will because with this coronavirus these teams are losing a hell of alot of money and they aren’t going to pay a coach millions to walk away.......at least until they get a handle on this virus and start making money again. I could be wrong but Texas has higher revenue than anyone in the country and are still losing a crap load of money. If a booster wanted to help but I just don’t see the colleges paying large sums of money right now.

Some bad play by Texas and the refs early however Texas had a chance to win. Can't blame a kid for playing hard however it was 1st down and you have 3 more chances from the 1 to score. Just seems we're snake bit vs TCU lately. Sucks

Winning is built on a foundation of good habits. Losing comes from bad habits and no solid foundation. Tom herman has too many bad habits that he cannot rid himself of. The program is consistently inconsistent. TH is not the answer 4th year building this program and it hasnt made any significant improvements. Bonehead mistakes, penalties galore, special teams blunders, players not ready to play.

I just think most all of these teams in our conference we should be beating by at least a couple of touchdowns with the exception of Oklahoma. We’ve recruited 3-3-8 the last 3 years

My read on Del Conte is that barring a disaster, coaches finish their contract.  But at the end of the contract they are scrutinized and evaluated hard.  Herman and Smart are in jeopardy when their contracts expire.

how many years does Herman have on his deal?

Obviously developing the talented players we bring in is the problem, not recruiting.

By the way, is it just me or is walk-on Jaquess our best linebacker?

Can someone please tell me what the last defense formation was that Duggan scored on??? No one in the middle of the damn Line and he walks through. Then Ingram fumbles. Fed up with this shit.

Duggan saw the HUGE gaping hole there, looked to be about 8 ft wide. I'm fairly certain he ditched the called play right then and just attacked what he saw.

I'm like you. I saw that before it happened.

College Gameday all picked Texas and then laughed about how that meant Texas would lose. As a fan that's embarrassing. So is the Texas is back narrative. Herman has made it very clear he doesn't care what the fans think or feel. At least Mack Brown paid lip service to the fans. I'm done, #FireHerman

I’m going to ask a hypothetical question. If we were to change coaches.......and I’m not saying we should........WHO WOULD YOU HIRE IF YOU WERE IN CDC’S SHOES. Alot of the top top guys you can’t get so I’d like to know who would you hire?

Urban Meyer would be my first call.

I don't even like him. But at least he wins. Throw money at him until he says yes.

I don’t like Urban personally but that’s not a requirement. The requirement is to win and he can damn sure do that.

Brian Jones just ripped Texas on CBS halftime show.
