*****Game Thread: Baylor Bears @ Texas Longhorns*****

Any objective observer realizes Quinn wasn’t ready to start this year. He has to make a big leap to be an average P5 QB.
The team was capable of more, the coach and QB weren’t.

Agreed! That was my argument for Hudson Card from the beginning- too much expectations on a young freshman too early, but don’t doubt QE can and will become a much better QB next year

An objective observer probably saw Quinn's first few games and saw decent to very good quarterback play and someone with arm talent that can't be found just anywhere.  Then he played poorly the next few games.  You make it seem like he played like absolute trash all year, but he's had some good games which would lead one to believe he might snap out of his skid of bad games.  But of course you omit his good games in all your arguments.

Actually he was dogging Ewers for not throwing over 300 yards against ou. He's obsessed and consistent. "Ewers bad, Sark bad, Card God", SOS every post.

Why he got to play the fiddler ? I am excited to see his growth from year 1 to year 2.  I am sorry I don’t see your and Johnny Deep’s point.  QE growth is key for next years team, and I am excited to see it.
Why be so defensive of a simple statement Ewers is a Red shirt freshman.

It his fault he took the money and sat out his freshman year. He is paying for it now by not having that experence.

Glad yousee his growth I see regresion from Ala. game.

As for as QBS I could care less who playes just so it gives best chance to win.

Saw two good ones last nite Fla. ve F. St .

Was a simple reaction to you stating he was a redshirt freshman. Took my post totally out of context. I stated he was basically a freshman which age wise is true. Experience wise he is behind due to missing his senior year. I defer to Sark’s opinion over your agenda about it

He is a red shirt freshman who should be a true freshman.

Age wise, he is in between the two. He is older than the typical true freshman and he is younger than the typical red shirt freshman.
Well he is what he is and all the coulda, woulda can not change that.

For the life of me can not see how a simple statement on status of a QB needs so much defending.

#1 I have no agenda on subject.#2 He is a R S Frosh why defend it.

There are a lot of posters infected with a case of JD ites!

It’s a forum and we all have different opinions.

Sark has done a good job.  We improved record wise and players are being developed.    Quinn will as well but he started hot and went downhill.  That’s not improvement this year but he’s inexperienced.  Not a knock on him just facts.  Some of wanted to lynch PK just a few games but now he’s all praise.  Hopefully next year with an experienced OL we will be even better
First of all not calling for Sark to fired. Mack  won 7 & 8 games his last two years  but got fired. Texas fan base are now thankful for 8 wins. Ask yourself how many games we should  lost? Was leading Bama  up to last minute with Card. Was tied with Tech in regulation, leading Okie Lite but collapsed,& we look like we was playing first game of season against TCU.?

Just saying you went out of the way to correct my narrative to fit yours. Since my points are all mainly positive, and yours are mainly negative. I can only assume the JD was a shot at yourself…

Nite JDJ
So now if regresses to name calling.

You mey be too young to remember the Comedian Burns who signed off his show with say good nite Gracie, his wifes name Was saying over and out usless conversation.

Well the good thing is that people who really count, like CDC, don’t give a rats ass what JD thinks. ( He doesn’t care what I think either, but I am not bashing his guys). And when you bash Sark and Ewers, you are bashing CDC too. Sark is his choice, his work.

Longhorn football will be fine with Sark and Ewers leading them next year.
And I am willing to bet a month of non-posting they will have a better won lost record.

How about some of you bashers ? Wanna bet ?

The Florida QB was 9-27 with 3 TDs, 1 INT and 198 yards, Florida St QB was 13-30 with 1 TD, no INTs, 270 yards and 1 fumble.

According to our board geniuses, neither completed over 50% of their passes so they're not that good. Or does the bar change for other teams?

Completely agree. And how about those great P5 Aggie qbs ? Or how about the Baylor qb ? Or how about okie and okie state qbs ?

So you are saying we should lower our standards to accept passing completion percentages of below 50%?

and yes those Florida QBs are not good passing QBs, although they are very fast

I just checked their stats. One was 9 for 27 and the other was 13 for 30.
