just had an opportunity to listen to the post game pc. I have no idea if Sark is the guy to turn things around or if it can even be done but he is spot on when he talks about the physique of simply holding on. That is a mindset that has been demonstrated under at least the Herman regime. I’m no psychologist but I believe that kind of mind set takes more than 9 months to overcome. 

It may take Sark more than 9 months to realize life in the Big 12. QB's with 5 td's that lose. No lead is safe, not even 3 scores. Last team with the ball wins frequently. Sitting on a lead trying to run out the clock is futile in this league. 

 I'm no psychologist but it's on HIM. F**k a bunch of holding on, he doesn't even know how to.

Seriously though, today was terrible and I’m super irritated, but let’s not drive off a cliff. There are deep-seeded issues with this team, and it’s going to take more than a season to fix.

I agree with you in theory. However in two straight games defenses have made us one dimensional for large parts of those games. During those stretches they dared Casey to beat them, and he could not.

Even though Casey has more mobility, it hasn’t really been a huge factor. He’s not a threat running the rpo that defenses are worried about. Card is supposed to be a mobile qb also. He looked slow against arkie, but that may have hesitancy. Either way Casey isn’t winning huge games for us with his legs.

Overall, we don’t have a franchise qb yet. Maybe Card can work more of the field with his arm strength. Either way we need to understand what both qbs can do by the end of the season.

You cannot explain the disappearance of Bijan Robinson in the 2nd half of both games you're referring to and use the name Thompson. Thats not on him. Perhaps there is a connection between not being able to run the ball and losing? Whoever ran the ball for OSU got all-conference with his 2nd half play. Credit our defense I suppose.

I have nothing against Card. I have no problem seeing what he can do. Thing is though, I've seen what he can do. He's a known commodity. I just want to win.

The whole team had a bad game against Arky. Only Card got singled out. Too late now, this season is toast.

2 today that cost us the game. 3 before that and several other's dropped by defenders. It's not like they have been cheesy tipped stuff, he misses by a bunch. It seems taboo to talk about it. He doesn't see defenders sometimes.

Maybe I didn't phrase it correctly... I'm not sure Casey's advantage over Card with his mobility is greater than Card's advantage over Casey with his arm. 

The problem we saw with Card at arkie has repeated itself over the last two games with Casey. In other words, neither QB is good enough to rise above the current limitations of our oline. 

Having a mobile QB is one solution for a bad oline. Another solution is running quick outs and other other quick throws requiring a pretty strong arm. We saw today what can happen when the ball doesn't get there fast enough.

Part of that may be Sark's system, which leans toward slow developing pass plays. However Sark may also not trust Casey to make those throws - deep slants and outs that can turn into dangerous passes quickly. So he gets limited to safer throws - long balls and bubble screens. 

So my overall point is that if Card can make those throws that Casey can't, then it's an alternate solution for a bad oline. But we haven't seen enough of Card to know if he can make those throws or not. We've heard about the arm strength, but need to see it in a game to know if that opens up more of the passing game.

So I don't agree that we've seen all that Card can do. But defenses are learning how to completely shut down Casey running the rpo at times. We can't win that way either.

Well that didn't work out did it? CT is the below average QB I thought he was. Card got one half of judgement, CT has sucked in two of last three games, time to go back to Card and commit to the future.

I know i may be a sunshine pumper, but im also a realist that knows it takes a little time to rebuild a program.  I know we said this under Strong and under Herman, but this feels a little different. Nick Saban went 7-6 in year 1 at Bama, Dabo Swinney went 9-5 and then 6-6 in his 1st 2 years.  Once they got their players those programs took off. Does it suck to take losses as a fan? hell yes.  I do wish this team wouldve magically been a CC team this year, but this is basically the same team that got a coach fired last year.  It definitely is a team missing their 4 year QB leader who willed some wins last year.

Say all you want about the last 10 years, but this just feels different to me.  I think this staff knows what they need and I do believe they will get there.  It just may not be on the timeline we we're all unrealistically hoping for.  This is a process and I'm staying the course as a fan. I really do think it will be worth the wait

In Cards first game he looked likea world class. Then came the Hogs.

Casey looked good vs Arkie and a couple of games then came OSU..

Both have made all the throws when they was on. Both looked bad when off

 Only Casey thumb might be adifference.

All QBS get rattled if pressure is applied on every play. Well 95% of them.

Might as well ask for Wright to play with this OL doubt if much difference.

As for as roateing QBS Purdue rotated QBS every play on some series then they were playing # 2 team.

What he answer who knows certainly no hollywood actor. Sark gets big money let him figure it out. Hookum
