The undefeated Oklahoma State Cowboys are coming off a bye week rested as the head to Austin for Saturday's matchup against the Longhorns.  Texas is recovering from a battle they narrowly lost to rival Oklahoma last week in Dallas, and they stakes couldn't be higher for both teams.

This is the 4th consecutive 11:00 AM start for the Longhorns, with Texas holding a 2-1 record in the previous three outings.  A win by the Longhorns would be Steve Sarkisian's first against Mike Gundy, giving the Longhorns a 5-2 start.  Texas hasn't won five of their first seven games since the 1998 season under Mack Brown.

Texas owns a two-game win streak over OSU, including a 41-34 OT win in Stillwater last season.

The game is of large proportions for the Longhorns, who would keep their Big 12 Championship aspirations alive with a win.

I expect to see a LOT more blitzes and stunts this game. The personnel they have right now (Foster, Thompson, Schooler, etc) has shown they can not play straight up defense. The "bend but dont break" hasnt worked with offenses with a pulse so they will have to try something that causes disruption in order to get off the field.

Keep an eye on Spencer Sanders.  He had three turnovers last year and is prone to making mistakes if he's put in bad situations.  That elusive pass rush needs to be found today in order for that to happen.

Another note about Sanders - he has thrown for 1,068 yards against Texas in the last two games.

Coach Vic on Texas Game Day has everybody pumped up.  I really feel for the first time in a very long time (maybe we ever) really good about the direction of both our Men’s and Women’s basketball programs.  Both programs have a chance to contend for a Monday night game in the not so distant future.  I give CDC a lot of credit.  Best AD in the country.

I think you meant 668 yards instead of 1,068 yards, right?

UT is dead last in all of football in defending passes over 20 yds downfield............just heard it on Tx Game Day.  damn.  But I should have known this after watching this season so far.

our DB's are invisible

Hey guys, Casey Thompson is warming up with a wrapped up thumb.  The injury last week against OU is still hanging around it appears.

Going to miss most of the game for a nephew’s wedding. Expecting a bounce back performance for a dominant win and 5-10 commitments after the game. Anything less and I’m back on the hire Gary Barnett train.?

AGNB!!! Hookem.??
