Game Thread – #1 Texas vs Texas State

Texas makes the short drive to San Marcos Tuesday for a 6 p.m. showdown with Texas State.

Earlier this season, Texas dropped this game when they met on April 1 at the Disch, 3-5.

That loss will hopefully prevent the Texas roster from taking the Bobcats lightly, with a three-game series with rival Texas A&M just days away.

Texas State is 19-20 overall this season and 8-10 in the Sunbelt Conference. They just dropped 2 of 3 against conference foe South Alabama. On April 18, the Bobcats beat Baylor in Waco, 6-2.

Texas sits in first place in the SEC and #1 in the nation.
