Texas baseball came into the series #2 in college baseball in ERA with an ERA of 3.15 (western kentucky 2.85). Through 2 games our ERA has now dropped to 3.04.

This pitching staff has been amazing and showing up like this the week after losing your Friday starter is amazing.

We need a solid start from Harrison today and hopefully we are in a position to try to close it out with remaining high quality arms - could use Thomas Burns, Jason Flores. Volantis has pitched in back to back days but he threw 40 pitches yesterday so maybe not. Grubbs hasn't gone back to back but only threw 19 yesterday.

Great job by Harrison and Burns to get us through the majority of the game. Schloss threw the necessary arms to get the final outs by using Grubbs and Volantis on back to back days.

Jason Flores and Kade Bing both fresh for tomorrow. Volantis threw 8 pitches and Grubbs only 6 but I would be surprised to see either of them 3 days in a row.

10 games remain in the SEC season and we hold a 4 game edge over 2nd place. Magic number is 7. 2nd place arkansas still plays 3rd and 4th place, who are playing each other right now. Oh, and they face use next weekend.

Shocking to have this big of a lead at this point in the season.
