• 90 percent of Freeman's outs have come via ground ball or strikeout, and he has allowed just two earned runs in 38.0 innings over his last five starts. (Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honors three times this season.)

1. Freeman is considered the ace of OSU's staff. Clemens has keep OSU off balance for the first 5-6 innings. Falling behind Freedman by 2-3 runs is not how to win today.

2. 90 percent of Freeman's outs have come via ground ball or strikeout....overswinging plays right into Freedman's plan. The Horns must be patient today and hit line drives. That's what they've been focused on doing - today it's a must.

1. That 3rd strike breaker to Gage Green was a thing of beauty.

2. Hinojoa's charging play on the bouncer from Costello is a tough play to make, especially with the throw to 2B. Especially for a guy that isn't a third baseman.

3. Freeman with a one run lead after one inning is 'not ideal'.
