Game 3 - Texas at Oklahoma State (Recap added)

Much better AB's in the 3rd, and it pays off with a ball that is dropped. Tough play, but Green normally makes that play.

2 RBI Single off the 1B umpire, who was in foul territory, and it bounces out to RF

Runners at 1&3; Home plate ump signaled fair; 1B ump was throwing his hands up in the air as he tried to leap out of the way.

Augie discussing with Blue, but it is not going to matter.  Over-ruled.

And just like that when Texas catches the break on the missed diving catch the top of this inning, they turn around and don't get the call.

Am I supposed to rag on Costello's parents or the announcers for pronouncing "Conor" as "con-ner"?

It seems like Cantu's swing & approach have changed a bit as he's moved up in the order. He earned a spot there because of his old approach...which is plenty good enough to be effective in the 5-6 hole.

Agreed.  He is opening himself up to a big dose of off-speed pitches.

I'll be honest: I felt fairly confident at 4-2. One run (5-2) is a totally different ball game. 8-2 is Mount Kilimanjaro right now.

Lots of baseball to be played, but Texas needs a at least one run in the 5th & 6th. They cannot wait until the 8th and then try to get 3-4+.

OK, I thought this guy on 1300 broadcast on Friday was an okie.  He's an Okie St grad.  I know he's buddies with Craig Way, but I wonder why we are putting him in the booth this weekend to call the UT/Ok St game.  Weird.

Radio announcers are better than TV 9 times out of 10. After Friday night, I've intentionally listened to ESPNU.
