Come on, man. My guess is they would be real tears. You may think many things about Mack Brown, but he cares deeply for those kids, and he has poured himself into this university, and it will be tough to say goodbye - and real tears will be shed. The game passed him by. It's as simple as that. You have to have some degree of ego to be a coach at a major university and you have to believe that you can fix it when things go awry or you certainly will stand no chance of fixing it. But the game passed him by. It happened to him, and it will happen to ALL OF US. It may be hard to muster, but I try to act with the same grace that I hope people will treat me with once I cross that path in my own life.

He went after the fans last year (the whole bad friends thing), turned the team against the fan base for the first time I can ever remember. He has selfishly ran this program into the ground and even now when everyone in the world says it is time to go, he wants to scorched earth the place on the way out.

He is no Saint, and lets not canonize him just yet.

If Mack is here meeting with the team instead of in NYC with Powers and Patterson, my hope is that this is an indicator that he is indeed going to announce by Tuesday or at least this week.
