Texas just does not fire coaches during the season but if Strong does not win at least 8 games IMO he will be out at seasons end. Some are saying he is basically out now but I think if he wins out he is probably back. But with this defense I don't see how we get to 6 wins.

What everyone seems to forget is Strong is supposed to be a defensive guru?  Our defense is the worst I have ever seen it.  The only other time I remember it being this bad was last year under his watch as well.

So why even bother keeping him if he gets 8 wins.  We pay 5 million a year for a effin .500 team.  Good grief.

I agree with every thing Mike says here.

Except – if you want Herman, you're not going to be able to wait until season's end. You will need to find a way to get that ball rolling sooner than that because you already have LSU wanting to bust his door down.

We can certainly outbid LSU if it came to that. But we have to be in the arena with LSU first. We can't shop for a new HC when Charlie is still the HC.
