Texas commits involved in big games this week

– Roschon Johnson leads his PNG Indians to battle against #8 Crosby.

– Hudson Card will lead his #2 ranked Lake Travis team against rival powerhouse Austin Westlake.

– DeGabriel Floyd and Westlake will take on Cameron Rising’s former team, the Newbury Park Panthers Saturday night.

– Tyler Owens and Plano East will take on #1 Allen. Look for the Owens-Weise matchup there.

– Jake Smith is now eight touchdowns short of the Arizona Class 5A record for touchdowns in a season. The all-time state record there is 51.

1. Tyler Johnson Oak Ridge (2-3) (Conroe, TX) was idle last week.

2. Jordan Whittington (4-1) Cuero (Cuero, TX) was idle last week.

Smith had one catch for 49 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 86 yards rushing and four touchdowns. 

Smith now has 33 touchdowns on the season.

The Arizona Class 5A record is 41 touchdowns in a season, set in 1998.
The Arizona State Record (all classes) is 51 touchdowns in a season, set in 1997.
The National Single-Season Touchdown Record is 72, set last season by Tulare Union’s Kazmeir Allen (UCLA).

i'll be at the plano east / allen game.  of the 3 plano teams, plano east will be the best bet for a plano team to give allen a run for their money.  both teams have qbs that can throw down field accurately; wrs that can high point the ball;  allen's offensive line is huge.  this is going to be an interesting game.  i think plano east can score with allen; not saying they'll beat them. 

 
I am very tempted to go to that Allen-PE game. Should be a dandy
