Very nice work .. .will come back and review more later. . .

We come out of our 1st 6 games 5-1/4-2 and I think it will be an excellent year. . .

I'm just hoping UCLA is a respectable game. . .they are good. . .

I agree that Baylor and OU are more toss up type games. . . .though our secondary scares me vs Baylor. . .

I too can live with 9-3 or even 8-4 as long as we appear prepared, play hard in every game, and don't just roll over and piddle on ourselves because some school with a paper clip or a purple kitty-cat on their helmet is standing on the other sideline.
I second this opinion.  As long as we don't lay down like we did against BYU, 2nd half Ole Miss, and OSU...I'll be pleased.

I just wanna see genuine enthusiasm, intensity, hustle, and solid game plans each week.  I expect our defense will be salty, but the offense is a concern if Ash can't get healthy or Wittek doesn't transfer here.  I'm not ready to hand the keys over to Swoopes yet.

UCLA is a funny team. Historically, they have been a team that doesn't always play to their talent level and can have lapses in effort. I think Mora has more or less fixed this problem, but I do think this will be a "chip on the shoulder" type game for Texas. It really comes down to Hundley, and how well we are able to control him. He is a very good player. They lost some NFL talent (five players drafted) which will be hard to replace. This will be a tough game but one where I expect max effort from Texas. Texas comes out with something to prove, and this game can be a major statement game for the new regime. Intangibles favor Texas.

I believe that it is possible we may lose a game, but I also believe we will be prepared with a good to great game plan and 'ready to play'. I love Strong's take no prisoners approach.

Prepare to be pleasantly surprised.

Hook 'em!

BYU offensive line isn't young - they have a bunch of upper classmen that started returning.

Looks like you have Texas pretty much going undefeated.  I like your optimism, but without anything solid at QB, it's going to be a tough row to hoe.

I said we would finish 9-3, how does that equate to undefeated? BYU's offensive line isn't young in terms of age, but young in terms of experience up front. Probably should have said inexperienced up front. The offensive line shifted and rotated a lot last year. There's not a lot of turnover on their offensive line, but still a lot of youth in terms of experience. Matter of fact I bet there will be some unexpected shifts on the offensive line come fall camp time, because of talent deficiencies at that position and lack of scholarship players up front in the past few years.
