Dodds has been out of line for the better part of a decade. He may have been great at some point but he also has been around longer than he needed to. The way Dodds single handedly screwed up realignment is comparable, if not worse than Mack's 5-7 season.

Someone had mentioned he wanted to hang up his AD hat back in 2011 and was talked out of it. How reckless was it to let this guy destroy things in realignment knowing he wouldnt be here for the aftermath....

Dodds did some good things and not so good things. Realignment was a disaster. Its a shame he was allowed so much power in that mess

Dodds tenure, like Brown's is not currently measured by how the first part went, its all the damage done at the end.

I cant say he was a bad AD, the facts prove he was not, but what he was, like Brown, is a guy who was allowed to hang on for far too long.
