only heard about 20 mins of his show so far but while he thinks Saban stays he sounds less confident. Says he is not really sure what Saban wants and Saban could have ended this a long time ago but isnt saying a peep..even last night at a function said nothing. Is weary of Jimmy Sexton and says Bama folks are getting ticked off

Bama folks getting worked up is absolutely perfect. That's the best option. They start bad mouthing him and talking him down and Texas starts looking like even better of an option.

If I were Bama's administrators, I would have major resentment towards Saban if he ends up staying at Bama. He could have inked a sizeable contract last week to stop this Saban to Texas saga. Although losing patience, I still believe in McPhaul and Shaunsters that everything will work out for the good guys.

Is there anyone more myopic than Finebaum in CFB?

Here's the thing about alabama people.. to them they have two gods - Bear Bryant, and Nick Saban. If Saban stays, they really don't care what he has done during this process.. all will be forgotten. They really don't have anything else to live for other than Bama football.

He should be weary of Jimmy Sexton. The guy is Scott Borus, and like Borus' clients, they usually go to the highest bidder..

From what I understand, Saban and Bama's AD have already been at odds over other issues. Rumor had it when Battle was being interviewed that he made some unsavory comments about 'cleaning up' any of the more questionable recruiting (ie: hiring a recruit's girlfriend as incentive) and/or maintaining (ie: Clinton-Dix loan scandal) practices that occasionally brought heat on the program, and that set an unpleasant tone with regard to a good working relationship. But you know, rumors.

the only one on sabans side at bama is witt, who as you know is a texas guy

The funny this is that Saban could end the entire thing with one statement. "I will not be coaching at the University of Texas next year, and I'm 100% committed to being the coach at Alabama in 2014."
