El Mahico post on OB

This is getting laughable. He's getting played so hard, I just wish he would realize it.

someone mentioned in that thread that EM was basically being used in the play that will make Mack's retirement look like it was totally his decision, and he was not in any way pushed out...which is Mack's parade option he took.
EM even admitted that was possible yet still goes along with this other stuff. I think he knows what is going on, but is playing the script someone told him too. He's done a 180 ever since that big incident went down on OB with him being threatened by someone
Interesting.

Doc,
Great post. I agree with all points but need to clarify number 7. The guys driving this train are not the same old BMD's as in the past and are truly steamrollers. In fact, they have the support of the "old guard". In addition, there is new leadership at Belmont that is not satisfied with the status quo and will not resort to business as usual. Finally, Powers does not have the political capital to fight any of this.
Yes, there is merit to what you say. I, myself, have heard this from my own "reliable" source. :)

But, also, remember the AD shocker as well. It was Luck all the way until it wasn't.

Looks like the thread has been deleted on OB. Not sure why but maybe EM pulled a Shicks and begged Ketch to delete it after realizing how badly he got played.

EM just admitted he asked for it to be taken down at OBs .... played is right. You gotta be able to sniff out the BS instead of posting EVERYTHING in an effort to look like an insider.

I'm really surprised a guy who has been around as long as El Mahico actually believed that stuff...especially in the context of the big picture.

Btw, nice to see you over here sshorn.

Wow. Must have been going pretty badly over there. Stuff like that has prob damaged his reputation as a legit guy for a long time. Sad. I just think there has to be more to the story of why he's posting such crazy stuff

EM has now posted in another thread, explaining why he asked it to be deleted. Mentioned some things could have been taken out of context

Let's just say you're a highly-paid position coach at a major university who has many, many skins on the wall. And let's just say your boss - never a particularly talented teacher of the game - has his back to the wall and the assistants on the staff had basically used that opportunity to tell him hands off on any input of any importance. Said boss is doing even less coaching than in the past, and now some assistants barely even pretend to listen to him any more. Said boss has a big ego and a bigger paycheck and is not inclined to go quietly into the night.

Given that scenario, having that boss remain officially as the man-in-charge for another year or two might look appealing as you wind down your career. It's a good gig with lots of perks and bennies after all. And your loyalties are to yourself and your family - not the university nor its legions of fans.

Hypothetically speaking of course.

Of course if that Rainbow gig comes open, f* it you're going home.

This is why Black is my favorite. He knows exactly what I'm talking about with EM

Shaunsters - let's start a basketball thread. This is the most enjoyable team to watch under Barnes in years; high basketball IQ. I'm guessing he won't be around long enough to coach it out of them.

Let's do it. I'll start it now.

I answered your question in the one thread, I don't know if you saw it
