Dominick Wood-Anderson De-Commits

You may be correct on Okafor.  The larger point is that both our tackles were never targeted to be there at this point.  That is probably a frightening prospect from a coaches perspective.

Is Moore playing?  Serious question.
I dont believe as much as he used to.

Beck and Herman are sticking with guys to catch passes which in turn makes our blocking more of a joke when you have Brewer blocking.

Brewer is what 230 soaked?  Moore is 255 ish

The interview with Noah Cain explains alot when Noah said Herman told him we will be passing more this season because of our OL.

I think this staff has given up on running the ball and maybe rightfully so but freakishly small tight ends dont necessarily help.

Watch him here:

Nothing against brewer he is just undersized.  Might do just as well with Mapps as the blocking TE.

I agree somewhat with your first paragraph. Specifically, you cannot have success on offense without an O-Line. Our O-line is a patchwork unit and I know they are severely limited in their capabilities. I also agree that it is a personnel issue and coaches cant simply go out and get better players right now. In the NFL you can look for a free agent or tap the waiver wire. In college you can only recruit and bring in players that fit your system.

I suppose I'm too impatient but I cant accept waiting for the proper personnel in order for our offense to function. Its unfortunate that our players were not chosen with our current offensive philosophy in mind. Its heartbreaking that we have been decimated by injuries. Its ludicrous for our coaches to say we don't have the personnel to run our offense but we will continue to run our offense. I understand that Herman is trying to build a program not just field a team that wins this year. I respect that and it should be his focus.

I also believe that success breeds success. The old annoying adage "that team just doesn't know how to win" is BS. There has never been a team that didn't know how to win. If your on a football team and you don't know your team has to score more than the other team to win (obviously you're an aggie) you should be forbidden from reproducing. What the adage actually means is that team has not won, they don't expect to win, and they don't believe they will ever win. A great offense, defense, O-Line, QB, Coach, ect... are all determined by results. Tom Brady isn't considered the GOAT because of his name, jersey number, or any other fact associated with him. He has performed at an elite level through out his career and won more Super Bowls than any other QB. Without those Super Bowls he's just a really good QB. Without his elite performance on the field he's just some dude working for a living and posting crap on a football message board.

Most of us agree that our defense is good. Is it good because of the players? Is it good because of Coach Orlando? What gives it the title of "good"? The same players and coach took the field against Maryland and some described the defense as shitty after that game. I honestly don't know what changes were made on defense. I'm sure they made adjustments or personnel tweaks but it's really inconsequential. What I do know is Orlando will be getting job offers that he would not have gotten after the Maryland game. Today he is a good coach because our defense has performed.

Somehow Herman and Beck have decided their offense is good and I wholeheartedly disagree. Both Coaches have had good offenses in the past doing the things they are doing here but those were different players and different teams. Actually the only reason I can say their offenses were good is because they scored enough points for the teams to win. The up-tempo pro-spread attack, Air- Raid, Run and shoot are just offenses. Any Coach in the world could learn and install those systems. The system does not score points or win games that is strictly the players. A play can create an opportunity for a player but it can not take the place of the player. A coaches job is to create the opportunity for the players to be successful. When the player has success the coach is good and when he does not the coach is bad. As monumental as the task may seem Coach Herman needs to forget what he has done in the past, look at his personnel, and create opportunities for them to succeed. It may be something somebody else has done or he may be inventing a whole new scheme. The thing is, I don't believe Tom Herman realizes we hired him and not the old Houston Head Coach or Urban Myers offensive coordinator. He doesn't need to be that guy here. He needs to be the guy who wins here. Tweak it, scrap it, modify it, whatever just fix the offense.

The funny thing about this clip is its not just the OL.

80 - Brewer - TE  Atleast he tried

68 - Kerstetter - RT  Mehh...no push

13 - Heard - Slot  ( Wow that was bad )

25 - Warren - RB  The free safety makes Warren taste the turf even though he has like 40 pounds on him

They all either got knocked down, ran over, pushed backwards.  The only guy on that play to even block worth a damn was Lo Joe

Watch all 4 of those guys in this play.  Its humiliating.

I haven't clicked the link yet but I bet its Sam's run toward the right sideline when Warren gets blown up.

Yep. That's the one. I had to rewind it during the game because all I saw was a body flying. Then I had to rewind it a third time to see who could possibly send Warren five yards backwards on his rear.

All I think when I see that it is "Damn show some pride"

On another note you can see DB #7 (Heards guy) telling the LB's and safety to come up.  The safety was sprinting up there and blew up Warren.  As if our play calling is too predictable.

Its not funny but I just cant quit laughing. Everybody is getting mauled and Cuney is right in the middle of the action just jogging around. He never gets touched or touches anybody.

Oh Come on...he moved 3 yards the whole play.   <_<

My great grandmother with a cane could outrun that kid

The issue with the play is demands it Brewer, Kerstetter and Warren to all seal their blocks in order to be successful. Brewer and Kerstetter had a decent double initially; which should have allowed Kerstetter to seal.  He didn't. Then Brewer decided to go to the next level and not seal his guy.  Kerstetter just lets his guy go when Brewer moves on. Warren got blown up! Had he sealed his guy, Brewer's guy would have been trapped inside. Both receivers did their jobs which was to kick out. Had Brewer, Kerstetter and Warren sealed, a nice lane would have opened up and Sam may still be running...Hell, Warren could have cut the guy and a lane would have opened...geez

Cuney sucked as well.  His ONLY job was to get in the weakside LB's way...he did not LOL

Heard's guy knew what was coming.  You can see him before the play was ran motioning the guys up.

He ran up 10 and assisted the tackle but if the other guys had done their job Sam could have cut in.

Anyways it was terrible.  At some point you have to laugh at this or just cry

I guess that's what I was trying to convey. Heard and Joe both kick out and a lane opens for Sam to cut back.  He only would have had the safety to contend with at that point.  I keep re-watching and can only say, "damn Chris! Be a player, son...smh"
