DISH to add LHN! (and SEC Network)

Awesome news...uverse customer here but I am certainly excited about the increased distribution.

I have Time Warner and I am glad that Dish will have the LHN.....Time Warner will be raising their prices, so I may go back to Dish.

I guess I can stop harassing dish internet chat people now finally.. Anyone know when it starts?

As much as people hate on LHN, I absolutely love it. Get to watch almost all the baseball games and almost all the basketball games now. It's a luxury. As for pissing off other schools, I don't care. Any other school would have taken the deal if they were offered something like LHN. Texas should look at their own interests first and that's what they did.

IMO, the LHN doesn't really help UT for football b/c it only gets to broadcast the 3rd Tier games. North Texas, Kansas and maybe Iowa State this year? Yippee

It does help gain UT exposure for all other sports.

Yeah but the big games for football are going to be picked up by major networks most of the time, whereas those 3rd Tier games probably aren't going to be picked up by major networks. Can't hurt to have those third tier games picked up by LHN when other networks aren't going to pick them up.........still getting more exposure since even the smaller games will be broadcast on TV.

The LHN is a big recruiting advantage too for sports like baseball. Several recruits have even said they like Texas because they get a chance to play on TV more in comparison to other programs.

Just like any venture, you have to give products time. As LHN continues to be picked up by major outlets we will continue to see advantageous benefits. I continue to believe that LHN will be a great thing for Texas over the long-term.

I have Direct and just signed up for Uverse about a week ago. I know that Direct will come on board sooner rather than later which almost makes me regret my decision. I really love the NFL ticket and that was the only reason I had for wanting to keep Direct.
