Didn't know if anyone saw, but David Ash just wrote on twitter that he will be back playing football in the spring.

I can tweet I'll be back in the spring as well. Until he gets hit a few times no one knows. Chances are the next offensive coordinator is going to platoon this deal at the minimum.

...omg, how does he know. has he spoken to the new coach already? or is he fantasizing...

We still need a transfer to come in just in case Ash gets hurt again and so we can redshirt Heard.

Going thru spring the off season program an actually playing football are two different things.

Let's see if they hold him out of spring practice contact?

Huh? Obviously he has been assured clearance by the doctors.

You hit the nail on the head, and it just takes one good lick for a lifetime of regret.

He will try to go

Laugh at the people on here acting like they know his future

He wants to play and is old enough to make his own decision. As long as the doctors clear him he will give it a go.

Problem is can he take any kind of hit at all. He didn't exactly take hard shots to the head that caused the initial problems.

I think David is going to be needed next year if no QB transfer happens......unless Swoops shows us something.

If you've lived through a bad one or gone through it with a family member, you can take a pretty educated guess which way the pendulum swings.

...oh really, well how many times beforehand has david been assured clearance as per the doctors? i just do not want to see david get seriously injured. at least he can continue his education at texas. this in itself would be good enough for me.... just sayin.

That is what all of us want. You questioned if he had "spoken to the new coach already", thus my "huh?" What does that have to do with any of this?

Btw, are you an artist? Digging your floral font ;)

...i know that my statement was abrupt. however, give it a bit of thought. for shouldn't david being presented with the option to play or not, be a decision upon the new head coach.... i mean, not even david ash shall be in a position to just assume that he shall be automatically playing. actually, i am not an artist (however thanks as per your compliment regarding my text) i am a government contractor (afghanistan). i just admire going against the grain regarding my text style (it got your attention)
