Interesting back and forth in the UCLA/Maryland game in the booth.

Q: What's more amazing that Virginia got in or Texas?

A: Texas was DONE.  Their season was over.  I'm surprised that half that team didn't report to summer ball.  They were so done, but there was always talent.  Texas was the single biggest disappointment of the regular season, how much they underperformed, but they got it done at the right time.

I'll go on record and say they don't win that Regional.  Not much of a stretch at this point, but pitching depth has been their problem.

I'm just not sure there's a great team in that region. I thought Coastal Carolina was the best 2 seed in the country but I didn't realize they lost 2 starting pitchers to injury recently. I will say Cal is an underrated 3. 

But yeah, A&M is screwed in the pitching department.I'm not even sure who they will throw tomorrow. They've been trying to figure out the #3 starter for about a month now, and to no avail. I think they tried to start Vinson in the SEC tournament and he got ripped apart. Their best option for the #3 starter was probably Hendrix and he threw close to 100 pitches tonight in relief. This is the last team that wants to be in the losers bracket. 

I think A&M has a chance to advance because of the bats, but I certainly wouldn't put any money on that.
