*****CWS Update Thread****

That's a tough, tough loss to overcome. The RF'ers body lingo said it all when the ball went over his glove.

Someone should check on GBT. Perhaps pointing out that 13 runners LOB, so many in scoring position, staying with their P too long, oh, and being able to score more than 1 run are all instrumental in winning games when it counts.

Anyone know if the aggie hitting coach was fired after the walk off?

Smart too, I'll wager.
Don't know, wasn't looking at her brain. B)

Watching the replay of the Cal HR at a slightly different angle, that ball was over the fence by a couple or more feet. Not sure that aggy RF could have jumped that high.

An amazing irony of the game...

A Cal outfielder jumped and caught a would-be homer just over the yellow tape, top of left field fence...

An Aggie outfielder failed to reach a ball, also just over the tape, in the right field fence...

Saw the back-to-back replay on late KEYE-TV news, and wasn't able to discern how close the heights of the two fence lines were.

But Cal saved one, the other went as a walk-off winner.

Oh, well. It happens.

Eabodgbt

And sot

3 Maryland is up 3-1 on 1 UCLA in B3, and threatening to push another across.

Thanks for the reportage, joeywa and friends. I love anything regarding college sports, don't care about pro sports.

Even if it doesn't involve or impact UT teams, I love to hear how the college teams are doing.

Great job, keep it up!

UCLA left bases juiced in T4; Maryland is up 4-1 in T5

And you folks are welcome.  I've said it before, but this is my absolute favorite time of year.  I've got a great wife who knows that and just lets me watch the CWS when I want to.

If A&M comes back to win that regional I'll be amazed. They've used their best 3 arms and they don't have much left. That was almost a must win once they threw Hendrix so many innings. They have to win 3 games in a row with make shift starters.

Vandy survives Indiana 6-4.

I'll go on record and say they don't win that Regional.  Not much of a stretch at this point, but pitching depth has been their problem.
