What are our strengths by position? Ranking from best to worst:
1. RB
2. DLINE
3. WR
4. DB
5. LB
6. OL
7. QB
8. ST
9. TE
That would make for a good thread topic.
1. RB - With Brown-Gray back and with Catalon coming on, you have to love the quality and depth at the
RB position.
2. LB - We are seasoned. We are deep. We are very talented. And with what Robinson did and with what Strong & Co. will do with this bunch is downright exciting.
3. OL - We bring back lots of talent and experience. I think it starts with Espinosa. If he has the kind of year I think he will, we'll have one of the best OLs around.
4. DL - We have a probable AA candidate in Ced Reed, a stud coming into his own in Shiro Davis and some talented but unproven depth. At DT, Jackson is a workhorse and hopefully we avoid injuries at this position. I like our three-player rotation, but if one goes down . . .
5. DB - Lots of talent left in the cupboard and some of it is green. We've also had some issues with physicality with a couple of them. Hopefully that changes with the new staff.
6. WR - Potential needs to become realized here for Texas to have a big year. Crucial position of development, IMO.
7. QB - David Ash is a very good QB when healthy. Is he one hit away? In the wings is a talented but raw sophomore, a walk-on, and a stud we're hoping to redshirt. I am hoping we set QB as a priority in the next recruiting class.
8. TE - Anyone else tired of seeing this sucker at the bottom of the list?
