NopeJB, do you remember how the Ags and Bears laughed at Charlie's core values when he was hired? I'm not hearing their laughter now. Are you?
I agree with everything but the last sentence. We will compete for the conference title THIS year.Nope
The mamas and the papas have fully embraced Strong's message. Now we just need to put it together on the field. I predict another stellar recruiting class if we can win 8+ this season.
We're still a year away from competing for a Big12 title, IMO
yes, but you would expect that. The mamas and the papas have fully embraced Strong's message.
never took it off my DVR!In honor of the manner in which Coach Strong runs our program versus the way Briles shirked his responsibility to run the Baylor program, I am rewatching our victory over the Bears this year. Sweet Justice.
Hook 'em, Charlie!
In this day of entitled kids and helicopter parents, I'm not sure I agree with your first line. . .yes, but you would expect that.
the beautiful thing in my opinion is the extent to which many very highly regarded players have resonated to what charlie is saying and how charlie lives his life. that encourages me very much and gives me hope for the future. there are some excellent youngsters coming of age these days.
oh, yeah, well, you're right. i should have been more clear who i was thinking of.not sure I agree with your first line. . .
Java,Joey, the last time I tried a podcast, my iPhone became possessed. I'm certain it was the operator, but...
Could someone summarize the high points? I always thought Briles was slimy. Nothing surprises me about him, and Baylor, hah! I don't even want to get started on the people that run that place. How can a school have both the Dave Bliss scandal and the Briles scandal and be totally oblivious? It's. Not. Possible.
Anyone who buys that story, has no credibility.
Joey - I know you are not defending them, but simply reporting what they are saying.Java,
A couple of things:
You can listen online on your laptop/PC, so you don't have to listen through an iPhone.
It's a discussion of how their involvement came to be, and how some in the Waco media used their involvement as a reason for digging dirt up on the reporter involved, and some pretty interesting looks into the evidence that they were able to obtain from some of the victims. It makes me wonder what the heck was going on in Waco with Baylor/media members that made every one of them sweep this thing under the rug.
