And so we're carrying on the tradition of a members prediction thread. This year we start off with the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

The Warhawks are not a good team. They went 4-8 last year (2-6 in conference) but did upset Liberty. I don't think they're any better this year so if we're struggling at home against this team, we're in a bad place.

Fortunately, I don't think it goes that way. In fact, I think it goes Texas' way in big time fashion, . . . . the stars will shine.

Texas 52

UL-MON 13

This is a pick the score type game.  The better questions are how do the freshmen react to live game action against a different opponent?  How is the excution by the lines on both sides and the lbs and edges on defense?  Do we score via defense and special teams? How many plays do we give QE and the other freshmen, does it depend upon how many snaps they get in the 1st half? Through 2 1/2 quarters?

Texas 70

ULM 17

63-13. Everybody scores, the Kool-Aid is flowing early, and Johnny is pointing out every reason why Sark should be fired by halftime.?

Another glorious day of Longhorn football. ??

Listening to Sark's presser I wouldn't be surprised if the offense kept its foot on the gas and hit 70. I'll go 56-10 because it's the first game.

The score in a game like this can easily get wonky based on how things go in the 4th quarter.

What other predictions do folks want to make?

I think we will see over 40 pass attempts with Quinn throwing over 30 balls. I'm thinking Sark will want to get him a lot of live throws in the offense and even when Card comes in, we will keep throwing it around.

Bijan goes for 150 total yards and 2 touchdowns in the first half. Sees little to no action in the 2nd half.

I see the Texas RBs getting about 450 yards this game. Bijan will get around 175 yards. The QBs will combine for 350 yards passing. I'll leave special teams alone, but will have plenty of opportunities with punt returns but maybe only 2 kick-off returns.

We may see walk-ons playing in the 4th. I wonder if they will run the offense or just hand off.
