While the Longhorns will not make their season debut until next weekend, College Football kicks off this weekend with a handful of teams playing. We've listed the schedule below and relevant TV channel(s).

Also, we will be implementing a fun pick-em via the forum software that will allow you guys to pick game winners. At the end of the season we will send a nice puffer jacket (brand name) with the HornSports Logo on it to the winner.

Pickems will be implemented for Week 2 and go on through the rest of the season - just working out the software kinks.

I will probably skip the FSU game. I don't think GT can hang.

The Montana St vs NM game should be interesting. Montana is a small school division team and will likely beat New Mexico.

I'll probably watch SMU-Nevada, but don't expect much of a game.

Ga Tech marches right down the field and answers. 8-7 FSU

Ga Tech with a +7 minute drive. Takes the lead 14-11.

FSU kicker just put one through from 59 yards out at the end of the half. 14-14.

GT might win this one. Kicking a FG with 5 secs left.

And Georgia Tech beats Florida State to start the year. 24-21

What a tough loss for the Noles. Their defense had a tough time getting the job done today. Big win for Georgia Tech!

Terrible loss for FSU. Still have Clemson, NC, ND, UF and NC St to go.

GT looked good. They never blinked. They expected to win that game. King has grown considerably. He had a big game.

Looks like SMU is going to pull it out in Reno, NV against the Wolfpack.

Former Horn Savion Red ran the ball pretty well tonight for Nevada. But he had a slow start.

Kitan Crawford also played well.

SMU 29
Nevada 24

I just flipped on the OU game and it's amazing how much Texas lives rent free in all their fans heads. Not even playing Texas and in a span of 10 seconds I saw no less than 8 OU fans doing the Horns down. Just root for your team.

First two series in the UGa Clemson game looks like a defensive matchup.

Man, saw Elko "running" out of the tunnel and he really had jiggle up top. Reminded me of Bill Parcells. Needs to place a call to these two guys:
