I think we were all shocked by how Stanford's defense shut down Oregon, again. Baylor proved that their defense is legit and that Oklahoma is exactly who we thought they were. Wisconsin is one of the more physical teams out there on both sides of the ball and it showed up on Saturday against a solid BYU squad. I was really pulling for LSU but Bama once again showed that they are strong in every facet of the game. Notre Dame is really lacking a tier 1 quarterback and the early targeting penalty probably had a huge impact on the outcome of this game. Florida is at risk of missing a bowl game for the first time in a long time - we feel ya gatornation! Nebraska actually played good defense and probably saved Pelini's job. TCU is glad to have Pachal back and their offense was able to move the ball while their defense was solid. Arizona State pulled out a close one against an under the radar Utah team. Texas won a costly game in Morgantown. We put up more points than most were expecting but we also gave up a lot more points than anyone was expecting. Our defense played really well, expect for a few big plays in the second half.

NU has a chance to win the next couple of games. MSU is their biggest obstacle to get to the B1G championship game against OSU. NU has owned MSU like KSU has owned Texas so anything is possible. I mean they just went into the big house without their starting QB and came away with a W. It they win out or even if they win 2 of their last 3 - they'll end up 9-3 and playing in a decent bowl game. They might end up matched up against an SEC squad in said bowl game and get blown out but I think that slightly above mediocrity will be just enough to keep the wolves at bay for Pelini this year. Sound familiar?
