Coaching Update

The coaching staff is a cluster right now. I'll be surprised if anyone other than Robinson is left before the week is out.
I hope they are all gone by Tuesday and all new coaches by Thursday of this week....Hook'em

A few more candles please ... for assistant coaches on offense and special teams. Texas receivers suck; quarterbacks suck; special teams suck; play designs suck; play calls suck. Defense is relative better but still leaves a lot to be desired.
my knees hurt and im blowing (like my team) the candle out. somebody let me know if the next match i light should be directed at a candle or at Belmont?

Roberson has been wanting to look since before the noise started. He is one hell of a football player but he is letting the dominance of his (Brennan's) entire defense go to his head (Ie thinking he is the sole reason)

Anyone have ANY clue what Catalon is thinking? You never hear anything from him.

If it wasn't for Major, Malcolm Brown wouldnt be here. However, I have personally talked to Major and Wyatt at UT camps. I respect them both. And don't want to lose either. Both have their strengths.[/quote

Major does not need to coach.

We should keep him only as a sole full time recruiter.

The last I heard was that he was ready to get bigger, faster and stronger and hopefully make some kind of impact next year. Doesn't seem like a guy who'll leave unless he is forced out by the new staff.

Wyatt has a ton of options. He does not NEED Texas like it needs him.
This is not a direct shot at you, but Why would Texas need him more than he us...regardless of how average we are right now I still think we will always be able to go and whatever position or coordinator coach we want. I think everyone of our assistant coaches on our staff especially offensive side of the ball are replaceable. We still are Texas and he is just a guy named Wyatt.

this is a big reason why I think the announcement happens this week. jobs will start to fill up fast and more than one is hitting the exit doors. The two weeks talk is vapor. No way the staff can be left twisting in the wind that long with position jobs likely starting to fill up around the country in the next week or two....esp for a certain coordinator

The more this plays out the more frustrated I'm getting with Mack. His decision to try and delay the decision is for him.....and only him as well as to try and slow the Saban momentum. He could apparently care less about the position he's putting his staff in by trying to control and delay his announcement etc. Sorry but at at some point somebody at Texas....heaven forbid that it's Powers, should remind Mack that he's been paid $733,333 for each of his 30 wins the past 4 years. Neither Texas, the BMDs, the fans, nor the school, owe him one single iota beyond that. For him to expect and desire to control agendas and replacement coaches etc. is absolutely and utterly maddening and frankly beyond out of line.

Pockey, im really interested to read what you have to say about Mack being a good guy.

If these reports are true, he is not a good guy or boss and we know he isn't a good football coach anymore.

Mack Brown is sabotaging the future of the Texas football program for his own Ego.

Zzzizzy, I'm with you, but don't contracts require them to stay through bowl game?

If Catalon leaves, opens a spot for Fournette. :D :D

He is not "just a guy named Wyatt". Darrell Wyatt has a ton of skins on the wall and is highly respected throughout the coaching community. He isn't a guy who needed to come to Texas or have a job here to be considered an elite coach and recruiter.

I asked around. Mr. Catalon is watching as everyone else is, but as of today is still solid. Great football player.
