Coaching Changes-NCAA Football

I wouldn't be a fan of Co-DC's normally. However, I like the mix of youth and experience of those two. Mattison may be old, but his resume is stacked. Durkin is the up-and-comer and has had experience at two strong defensive schools. Only stop they have both worked together is at Notre Dame, so I am not sure how close they are. Sure, we missed on some of the top candidates, but adding 2 DCs with top 20 defenses in 2014 seems like a nice consolation prize and a step in righting the ship.
So these two guys will split a salary, share an office and an apartment right?

Michigan has offered Jim Harbaugh their coaching job. It's for six years at $8 million a year. It is believed this was leaked so Harbaugh can use this to shop with NFL teams.

What if Sumlin hired Manny Diaz? . . . . I kid, I kid

One Coach not being discussed is our little friend in Norman. With all the excitement from the last few days and the potential NFL jobs coming available, does anyone else here think the Chinless Wonder begins to lobby behind the scenes for a new job? Just how exciting can it be at this stage to in his career to go against the wave just beginning to form in Austin. Yes, he won this year but he knows dang well he was lucky to. Luckiest win over UT he has ever had. With more time and coaching for Charlie and Company, I doubt he wants to end his ou career with a loss or a string of losses.

Just askin...

I think Stoopes hangs on at ou and retires there.

A Louisiana paper is reporting that the aggies have reached out to John Chavis to be their DC. Yeah good luck with that Sumlin.

According to texaggy they were going to hire muschamp. Then they were going to hire Venables. Then they were going to hire Foster. Then they were going to be innovative and hire co- defensive coordinators. Then they were going to hire Foster again.

Now they are going to hire Chavis.

All the above while Rome is burning.

I do not see much incentive for him to leave LSU for aggy. No matter how much money they throw at him. I figured aggy would have to get a lower level DC that is making a move up. IMO that would be step down for chavis

New Orleans paper says Chavis has received a 3 year $1.3 million and signed. This is making Sumlin look even worse by not having a DC by Malik's announcement.
