That was really odd. First them spotting the ball at the one. Since the replay seemed to clearly show that it was a TD, the announcers and the TV audience were convinced it would be changed to a touchdown.
It reminds me bit of Livingstone's touchdown. Maybe, you could convince yourself that it wasn't controlled enough when the ball hit the ground, but no way conclusive enough to justify overturning the ruling of a catch made on the field.
