Cleaning House

I do not disagree. he has become a sycophant. still, I think personal attacks are wrong.
Who is attacking him personally? The talk has been his lack of effectiveness. I haven't seen anything about him as an individual.

I can think of 20 things the person in his position should do to better connect the program with the fans. He should be on twitter during games. Hell, he should be on twitter offering a lot of info on the program, such as final scores when each team competes. He should bring people from the websites like HS to spend a day with him and show them what he does. Should host the tailgate before the spring game. He should get a student photographer to be at every sporting event and post pictures every week on the texassports website. Digitize the photographs in the archives of Bellmont and offer them for sale via the web. Use the proceeds to fund a scholarship in sports marketing for someone wanting to have his job in the future. He doesn't have a tough job. Technology has offered an explosion of ways to connect with the masses via the media and they wealthiest program in college sports has proven competent in exactly zero way of bringing the fans cloer to the competition. In fact, via LHN Bellmont has managed to use the media to build barriers betwwen the fans and the athletes. If Bill has the thousand watt personality people say he does, he bears even more responsibility. Hell, give me six months in his seat and I could have a program in place. Nick and Bill certainly aren't lacking content or resources. They are simply not getting the job done.

"Bill Little replaced with competent people"

many much worse than this on OB.

I agree with this. I feel many fans have just reached a point where they are tired of being told it's raining when they know they're getting pissed on. Overall I like Bill too. But I am ready for wholesale changes within the Athletic Department.
He may not but his content does. You can only piss down someones leg for so long while telling them its raining before they've had enough. If that's the best he can do they should eliminate the position all together because his content does nothing but make me feel he thinks I am really stupid.
Well, I think we can retire this analogy now. Lol

If this were true it would have been leaked by now to ALL national media outlets. No on has been told they wont be in Austin in the fall.

You sure about that?

I am starting to feel good about all that is happening .........cleaning House, Mack leaving (fired), Steve Patterson starting TO WORK before December 2ND and Maybe Saban will be on deck.

Honest question: why do you feel the need to state this position multiple times on every single thread regarding the future of Texas coaching?

Imo it is becoming curious. Not flaming, just seems motivated.

Good question

I have very fond memories of Bill's commentary. I for one will hate to see him go. IMO, Bill has done the job that he was asked to do.

While I sometimes marvel at the metaphors he manages to concoct in his commentaries, Bill does bleed burnt orange. He's featured in one section of the 1963 documentary when he was a reporter for the Daily Texan and was signaling a TD (over OU I think) that the refs apparently agreed with. That's a long time, buddy. But my bet is he'll be retired, made emeritus or something soon. I'd love to be locked up in a room with him and Wally Pryor for a couple of hours.
