I think Voinis is a prick, but Bill Little is a great guy who I have known well for decades. he is very competent, but his failing with message board folks is his unwavering loyalty to his boss and his spin to try to make his boss look good. that is his job, and in my opinion, he does not deserve the personal attacks he gets.

Agree totally, the frustration directed at Bill Little is really just a case of shooting the messenger.

Yeah I wanted to believe things would be different when they announced Wylie. I'm sure the mods here can speak to the rumors about Wylie putting out feelers earlier this season about wanting to get out.

Bill Little is a nice man. One off-season afternoon a couple of years ago, I had taken my then 4 year old son to see the stadium. We were invited into the trophy room by what seemed to be a student worker. While I was showing my son the spoils of Longhorn lore, Mr. Little came out and spoke to us for a few moments. We were strangers, but he took the time to come out and speak to a 4 year old in a little #12 jersey. That made an impression on me and I've always appreciated him for that. He is simply doing his job. Can you blame him? Perhaps he's loyal to a fault, but he loves Longhorn football and he is a gentleman.

I have no doubt Bill is a gentleman. Mack Brown is a gentleman. Mack is a nice guy.

The individuals within Bellmont have done a horrible job of managing the brand of the program. Bill's piece after the Okie Lite debacle was as tone deaf as any piece I have ever read. It was almost as bad as the Bill Byrne weekly Wednedsay pieces. At some point, someone within Bellmont needs to start connecting with the fanbase. I'm not advocating having him drawn and quartered. I just think he does a lousy job of connecting with the fanbase. At some point people within the program need to recognize the fans are what make UT sports important, not the political powerbrokers within Bellmont Hall. I'm sure Bill is a fine person but he is a symptom of the problem. The agendas of individuals are greater than the program itself.

Show up to DKR a half hour before gametime and stay until a half hour after the game and and ask yourself if the people charged with connecting the fans with the program are earning their paychecks. A lot of good people are going to be negatively affected by the changes to the program. We need to ask ourselves if we want likable people or effective people. One doesn't always come with the other.

Plonsky has gotten to big for her britches. Seems she goes around telling everyone that she reports to Powers and not Deloss. It's also thought her and Conradt are mentioned in the Kearney lawsuit.

Yes he was. Texas is the only school in the nation that has separate AD's for men's and women's athletics. It used to be Texas and Tennessee, but Tennessee consolidated their athletic departments a few years back.

Makes sense to me. It'll take longer to get his big ass out the door than anyone else. Unloading his snack cabinet will take a couple of people at least a few hours.

It's a fair point. I'm very fond of Bill from the baseball days. But the pablum he's put out these past years on Mack's behalf is hard to stomach; it's indicative of a cultural rot and I don't think Bill's been immune to the effect. He's owed a graceful retirement, but it's time.

Major needs to not be at Texas. I know we liked him as a player but he should leave and go be a position coach with a bright offensive mind for a few years.

He may not but his content does. You can only piss down someones leg for so long while telling them its raining before they've had enough. If that's the best he can do they should eliminate the position all together because his content does nothing but make me feel he thinks I am really stupid.

I do not disagree. he has become a sycophant. still, I think personal attacks are wrong.
