Clarington apparently cleared by the NCAA (waiting on Texas?)

Texas isn't "sitting" on Devonaire Clarington unless they have been instructed to by the NCAA or another institution that has a connection to Clarington's grades/transcript/eligibility.  Texas isn't a mom & pop shop when it comes to this sort of thing.  They aren't holding him out because they think his ACT score is higher than his supposed intellect......  Texas knows high school grade risks, juco transfer transcript potential issues and just about everything else.

If Clarington met eligibility he would already be practicing with the team.

Agree and it would wrong for the coaches to have him work with the other players until they have word that he's official.

Thank you for bringing sanity to the sewing circle...

Sheesh!

Sounds like they think he cheated on the test. Did they catch him cheating ? If so say so...if not...Cut through the chase and clear him if he passed the test...The kid need to be on the field.

Between Devo, Johnson, Major and Lampkin this should be a wakeup call for kids to take care of their business in school if they want to play major college football. Hopefully he just heard there wouldnt be a decision today. But that doesnt sound hopeful.

It should also be a wake-up call for the coaching staff and administrators.

Too many "what ifs" here. Why not target recruits who we know can qualify? Throw in Cherry and our 2015 class ain't Top 10 any longer.

It's still a damn good group, but it's definitely lost some luster.
