Clarification RE: Where's Sirhornsalot TOS

Apparently, a thread was started on another site regarding my not being there and being here instead. Let me be perfectly clear when I say that no one on that thread was speaking for me and those thoughts that were trotted out there as being mine were done in error.

I don't know what to say to the friend who jumped out there with something he couldn't substantiate, I haven't really talked to him since I came here anyway.

I am on HornSports because I want to be here. I don't want to be anywhere else. I carry memberships to two other sites (IT and 24/7) but you will seldom see me post there.

For you folks on OB looking for me . . . I'm right here and still eager and able to help any of you out, whenever you need it. But you'll have to find me here.

Question from a long time member, me.
Why in the hell do we continue to have to read threads concerning Orangebloods and who is and isn't there anymore or who said what on Orangebloods? This $#@! has gotten EXTREMELY OLD here since there has been an influx of posters from there. I personally don't give a damn why anyone is hear or how you got here. I'm here for news and info on the Texas Longhorns, not why or how you got here and why people at Orangebloods do or don't like you.

To those that continue to do this bull$#@!, pull your head outta your ass. You ain't all that nor a bag of chips. All the "insiders" folded like a cheap tent with your Saban BS yet we continue to have to muddle through your posts here about another site which shouldn't effect a damn thing here.

I think SHA was merely trying to clear the air with our members here. There are a number of HornSports member that continue to have subs at other sites. Him clarifying that he had nothing to do with the post in question more than likely came from PMs or emails to him asking about the referenced post.

I do not think SHA, or anyone for that matter, is claiming to be "all that..."

I am happy to be here, just as I am happy to have subs to some other sites.

What I like here is different than what I enjoy on other sites; each site has it's own strengths and weaknesses. I'm fairly certain that others here have that same feeling.

In this business, (sports fan/recruiting websites,) it is very difficult to be all things to everyone. The owners of HS are doing a fantastic job balancing sports and community, and are only making this site better every day. This site is well-moderated, has good content and is building a nice community-feel amongst the members.

I hope this post makes sense and helps you see things in a different light. Hook Em!

As usual, Joeywa is the voice of reason. Thanks for that, you read the situation very well. There weren't just PMs, but phone calls regarding this. Kinda hit me outta nowhere while I was enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon.

It reflected poorly on myself and HS and needed to be clarified.

I also have subs to 24/7 and IT. I used to have a sub to OB.

There are only 2 reasons to leave OB. 1) The posters on OB attack each other - A LOT. 2) Eventually, Ketch gives everyone a rash.

In my case, it was #2.

I gave this post a "like" but it deserves more. I've read so many acerbic posts over the last few weeks that I was starting to think I needed to take a break from the message boards. And then I read a post like this one from joeywa and it reminds me...."damned..there are also some REALLY nice (and intelligent) guys that post, and these are the ones I need to pay attention to."

SHA, I actually created the original post on OB wondering where you went. I always enjoyed your posts. My original post actually deleted. I've always been a long time lurker over there, and it seems many of the good posters have left or have been run off.

I'm glad you found me. I had no problem with your thread/question at all. I recently sent out emails to my Longhorn customers informing them of the switch hoping to avoid confusion and knowing that some members here are also members there. Liberty was taken to speak for me over there so I was trying to clear up the confusion and misinformation.

Horn Sports has been very supportive to me, pinning my landscape threads until I write the next one. I will say this . . when I leave this board each night, I leave with a good feeling. Discussions are civil, mods keep it that way, but it's largely due to some high quality individuals who post here.

I was totally confused by that thread, as I often am about many things. I posted that you are a sponsor and regular poster here. I got an immediate response and thought it prudent not to read it.

I am glad you are here. I have stayed with OB but find it mostly maddening.

I really paid no mind to it when I read that post. It only highlighted my primary frustration over there and that is the mob mentality. That is why HS became my home for Longhorn discussion and why I work to help make it better, behind the scenes.

I am extremely grateful to have SHA and many of the other great posters that I have enjoyed over the years, here!
