I hate those things. When I was little I'd go with my grandfather to set and retrieve willow fishing poles along the Washita River in Oklahoma. The bank, brush, and willows were just thick with them. Pretty scary checking the poles in the dark of night with a flashlight.

LOL, yeah I remember being in a flat bottom at night checking lines and one falling in the boat!!

As someone who was bitten by a copperhead a few years ago, snakes suck. All of them. Doesn't matter what kind of snake, they suck.

UTK66, I think the Cottonmouth deserves a little more credit for their suckage. Of the poisonous snakes we deal with here in Texas (rattler, copperhead, cottonmouth, coral), these are the only ones who are really aggressive.

We have some accounts out at Lake Lewisville. Large lots that we have lake access that we have to clear once a month. They are so common there that I have to suit my guys out with snake boots and chaps. The thing is, my guys don't have to look for them. The Cottonmouths come after them. Beats anything you'll ever see.
