Charlie Strong....

Noticed the WVU dig at the end... and trust me, I'm well aware that WVU isn't close to Texas, so that won't offend me, lol.

If Strong was offered, he would be a fool to turn it down. With that said, if I was Texas, I would never offer. But that's me.

Texas is a top 3 job, I think Florida is right there as well. Strong has history with Florida so that was the concern and also, we have been hearing Harbaugh, Tomlin, Saban, etc, Strong does not belong in that group, so it's catching you guys off guard. For perspective, Texas is a top 3 job, Florida top ten, Louisville and Miami are top 20 ish, West Virginia is in the top 50.

Like I mentioned about, and it's nothing against Texas... but many around the program and in his circle expect him to head south. They are ready for that, not Texas.
Texas is pretty far South FYI maybe a little more West then he wants I suppose.

There is a reason the Texas job has gotten as much run as it has. USC didnt get half this much.

...you are absolutely correct my friend. but as i mentioned upon an earlier post.... remember "korn / ferry" and for "appearances" sake...

South around here is Florida, Georgia, Miss, ect..
That's funny....Austin is farther South then the entire state of Miss and Ga....

Its the same as Tallahassee.

Sorry I'm a history teacher and bad geography or lack of knowledge in that area kills me.

Strong is solid coach,he is being considered because of job he's done at Louisville and not because of some stupid political rule.

People in West Virginia always head to Myrtle Beach for vacation. We always call that "going south"... as most here do with Florida. I would have got this right if I was in class. : )

Pretty sure on a national level, nobody believes Louisville or Miami is as good a job as Texas.
