CFP Rankings/Playoff Thread

Michigan on 2 first downs has 1 td and 3 fgs. They should be up even more.

Brett Auburn = “big game” kicker. lol. That guy is a choker. Worst player on the field today.
He also choked against Georgia.
Damn shame

Georgia goes down! Not one conference champion won a game, ponder on that!

I still think 3 weeks off is a disadvantage. You can't simulate game time play. 2 weeks off is normal to them but adding a 3rd week is almost like the beginning of the season or normal bowl games. You are going to come out flat.

Yes, the top 4 seeds went down. All conference champions. Are conference championships needed? That's probably a revenue decision.

In addition, almost the 5th seed was eliminated. Sounds like a seeding problem. Will they reconsider a new format or seeding metric? My guess nothing will change if it effects revenues.

I don't think it's a seeding problem. I think they're proving that we need the 12 team playoff. Just think if we had the regular 2 or 4 team playoff. Oregon would have made it for sure. They loss. Georgia? They loss. Indiana? SMU? They both loss. No, they are proving a point. The more higher seeds that make it, the more support they will have for a 12 or 16 team playoff.

They are proving that record doesn't matter as much as has in the past. The real question is are they going to make changes because of this. It's only 1 year of data so I'm not sure we will see too many changes for next year.
