Even with the preseason depth chart being released and naming Espinosa as the starter at Center, the coaches have not been happy or confident with anyone's play at the position. I am now hearing that Dom Espinosa has done enough to maintain the starting job at center over Garret Porter and Trey Hopkins. I think this is good news especially because Espinosa has the tools - he just needs to get his work ethic back on track. If he can come back and perform at a high level we would have 2 more years from the big guy as a starter at C. He's going to have to work, work, work if he wants to keep the job though. Mack and Searels will convert others if they aren't seeing development/ progress....

Espinoza is weak and it's not changing. To this day the offensive protections have to be modified to help him hold a block.

He gets bowled over then he will be replaced in a heartbeat. They will throw Porter in there without hesitation.

wont be surprised if walters is shifted over and flowers plays guard. Flowers seems to be on the rise, as he should be.

Dude is 6'4" & 300 lbs.......I'd like to hear the staff explain why we can't get some legit strength on Espinosa. We've been week at C ever since we won the national title.

Espinosa is another Gilbert. Local guy who Mack pulled into the program and it is not working out well. I do not know if Espinosa would start at Texas State. He is that iffy.
