Text from a college coach: "Can someone teach the SEC coaches the NCAA rules! They can't meet with 2015 recruits"

How SEC schools continually get away with breaking NCAA rules has gotten to the point of just being hysterical.

There's very specific rules on recruiting. Not sure of the specifics but I don't think you can meet with a 2015 recruit on high school visits unless that high school also has a recruit you are going after in 2014. Apparently Saban visited a 2015 recruit at a high school where there wasn't interest in a recruit for the 2014 class (at least that's what is being said on Twitter and other boards). Also, very specific rules on in home visits that could have been violated.

There was certainly some type of perceived violation or the Coach wouldn't have texted Feldman and Feldman wouldn't have tweeted it.

i dont think it's illegal to meet with 2015 recruits. just to contact them via phone.

as stated earlier, pretty sure strong's staff met with soso.

I don't know the rules, but I do know there's very strict rules for meeting with recruits that are not seniors (very specific rules on when and how you can meet recruits). Like I said earlier, there had to be some type of perceived rules violation or the coach wouldn't have texted that and Feldman wouldn't have tweeted it.
