TCU has got problems, especially on defense where you wouldn't think there would be on a Patterson team.

Okla State, no disrespect to Central Mich intended, but they had no business being in that game. Seems what a friend was telling me about that OSU OL was true. I'm not as worried about stillwater as I was.

I did not think Tech's defense could be worse than last year's unit. But lo and behold, it is. I mean it is seriously bad. We may set rushing records when we play them.

OU will get beat by Ohio State. Just don't see OU's sparkle this year.

Iowa State – that was just ugly.

Kansas – that was even uglier.

Baylor – SMU made you look quite human, for a while. 

West Virginia – Nothing real impressive, but they keep winning.

Folks, we might be the best team in the conference – right now. Never thought I'd feel that way this year.

What does this make us the tallest midget? I don't give af about how the conference is doing. We are like notre dame in that we carry our own name and truthfully don't need a conference.

We will get selected if we win out which is looking like a possibility.

Right now we would get crushed in the playoffs but at our end season form we could be pretty scary.

With that said. .. long season and i still haven't seen what i want to from our defense. They are the only chance of us making a run into the playoffs

I am not sure Texas will be a playoff team this year as there will be a game where this team struggles , and our young QB plays more like a freshman than 5th year letterman that he seems to be playing now. We all know that Tech, Okie Lite, OU , TCU and Baylor will play at another level against Texas and K State for the past 10 years seems to always give us problems no matter how plan Jane or terrible they look.

My thought was also, "where's aggy?". That should give everyone perspective on where they rank in the SEC hierarchy. Afterthoughts

Most of those SEC teams would hire Lucifer himself if it won them a title.

In 2005, the next best teams in the Big 12 were OU and corn-aggy at 8-4.

Does anybody remember or care how bad the rest of league was that season? Hell, no. The fact that the Big 12 may be down only makes it easier for UT to rebound faster. I like our CFB Playoff chances as a 1-loss team, too.

Don't go full aggy and become a conference-chanter. We're Texas  \m/

I lean closer to this statement than the others. I know a lot of people in the Austin area that came here from other states/schools and very few will root for Texas. That includes several members of the Big XII. I did want TCU to beat Arky last night though.

Yes, we do care how the conference is doing because WE ARE IN THAT CONFERENCE.

It also provides insight into the AP and Coaches Polls, whom were high on some Big 12 teams who apparently aren't that good.

The conversation takes us to Texas being in great position to possibly win the conference this year and either get a big time bowl or CFP. I actually feel foolish for thinking this way, given that just a few weeks ago we were perfectly ready to see 7-5 this year.

Louisville got that 10 spot, and rightfully so. They have been dominate and their QB is lookin like a beast.

Sad that so many Texas fans have gone full aggy on this Big 12 pride BS. I hope they all lose every week. I guess most Texas fans do not realize that every team in the Big 12 roots for us to lose every game.
