With his arrest being a 3rd degree felony and he being a mentor for young men, how can we keep him on staff, I’m sorry but he’s done

Yep, it's almost a foregone conclusion. We'll see what facts come out, but I find it hard to believe there's a scenario where he stays.

From @tejas

BREAKING: Prominent Austin attorney Perry Minton, representing Beard says: "Coach Beard is 100 percent innocent of these charges. He should have never been arrested. The complainant wants him released immediately and all charges dismissed. It is truly inconceivable."

The University will need to consider all of the available facts and come to a decision.

We don't know any of the circumstances. We don't know if this is part of a pattern,  or an isolated incident.  We need to be patient and let this play out, no need to make any assumptions about details,  or how this will be resolved.

That is not what I’ve been told. It’s a guy his daughter is dating.
I hope that's the case, it would certainly make the situation easier to move forward from.

I can't find the story.  I guess everyone wants the details immediately so there is lots of room for mis information.

I just picked up some tickets for the game and they're pretty close to the Texas bench. If he's there for the game, I'll let yall know what I see on how he acts and such.

I hope he didn't choke away his chances for a successful season and career.  If he did, that's on him.  On to the next coaching experiment.
