SignUp Now!My faith in Patterson making a home run hire fades with the rebuttals of several candidates. I can't believe through all the vetting and, one would hope, extensive research the two best to emerge would be Franklin and Strong. I mean, really? My outside hope is he goes and gets Fisher, but I really don't see that happening. The stars are aligning it would seem for the two afore mentioned in my second sentence. FWIWRoyal,
Do have no faith or are you simply fanning the fire?
Guys, I'll say it again. If the past is any indicator, keep an eye out for someone whose name is NOT being mentioned or is hardly being mentioned at all. Or even someone who has said they are not interested or someone that we're being told is not interested. Don't look for the obvious.Maybe Patterson has an ace in the hole. You know, a little secret that nobody knows.
Eric Nahlin over at IT also expressed his disorganization and a tendency to freeze up under pressure moments in the heat of the game. I can't speak to the accuracy of either, but I would say that a HC at Texas definitely needs to possess great organizational skills--at minimum, it can't be a deficiency for the manThink he would be an excellent hire.. .
A poster here claimed he runs a disorganized program. . .not sure how accurate but if true a concern . ..but not a deal breaker. . .
Been high on Charlie Strong for years . .he certainly closes out the season in impressive fashion.
It would seem that Sexton should have the financial motivation to make Fisher happen if Saban is happy in podunk.Fisher would be doubling his salary.Probably more.
If someone offered you a $4M+ raise over your current salary, wouldnt you at least let them be heard?
